The Switchover Help Scheme worked with manufacturers to make sure Help Scheme standard option equipment was easy to use. For example:
- Our standard option set top box was specially designed so you could use almost every feature of your TV at the touch of one button.
- The remote control was well designed with large coloured buttons.
- We paired the remote control to the TV so you only needed one remote control.
- Audio description and subtitles could be turned on with one button.
- The onscreen TV guide was easy to read and easy to use.
- There’s a button on the Help Scheme remote control which brings you back to BBC One at any time if you get lost.
